Hindi movie "Aiyaary" starring Manoj Bajpayee, Sidharth Malhotra, Preeti Chopra, Nashiruddin Shah and Anupam Kher was released in India and across the world on Friday, February 17, 2018. The film got a grand release in 39 countries. In India, it was released on 1754 screen and 6291 shows were screened per day.
Neeraj Pandey directed the crime-thriller.
The film opened to mixed reviews from trade analysts with occupancy of just 25-30 percent in multiplexes and single theatres across India.

People who watched the film on day one complained of below-par performances from the lead actors.
There is hardly any thrill in the movie which has a common storyline like the Hollywood spy movies of the 90s.
Very poor rating from leading media houses
"Äiyaary" got very poor ratings from Indian news sites. NDTV.com gave the film a meager 1.5 points out of 5 while The Indian Express gave 2.5 points.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh too tweeted on his official Twitter handle and gave a very poor rating of 2 stars.

Lead stars give mediocre performance
Young Shiddarth Malhotra plays an army officer who goes rogue to take on the establishment doesn't go well with his growing fans.
In some scenes, Manoj Bajpayee cleverly steals the thunder from Malhotra.
Nashiruddin Shah and Anupam Kher have not been utilized properly according to the analysts.
Audience response
The story of the film shifts to Kashmir in the second part of the film and is not appropriately filmed.
While Karan Johar was full praise for the film.

The movie may not fetch much at the box-office considering the Akshay Kumar starrer "Padman" is still running to packed houses all over India.
It will be interesting to see if the film gets back the money which has gone into its production.
