“Hichki” is a Hindi movie featuring Rani Mukerji in the lead role. It is scheduled to be released on March 23, 2018, in India.

She will be seen playing the role of Naina Mathur, who has Tourette syndrome which results in her continually making strange noises. This Bollywood drama is based on the book written by motivation speaker Brad Cohen titled “Front of the Class: How Tourette syndrome made me the Teacher I Never Had.”

Brad who has seen Rani’s performance in “Black” mentioned that he finds her to be an empathetic person and will, therefore, be able to do full justice to the character of “Hichki.”

Naina Mathur, a woman whose passion for teaching dominates her speech disability, is always faced with rejection as no school wants a teacher who can’t speak properly.

A reputed school finally hires the teacher whom nobody wants and there she is given the responsibility to teach a small group of students who belong to a lower class.

These students stand out on their own, ignored and mocked by the school authorities. As they belong from a slum and are treated inferior to the other children in the school, they show no respect to anyone and pose to be frequent troublemakers.Though she is not accepted easily by her students and in her attempts to get through to them, she faces many hurdles and does not give up on them.

The trailer released on December 19, showcased a plot that is a roller-coaster ride filled with joyous moments on one side, and emotional breakdowns, problems, and hurdles on the other side.

Kannada movie 'Rajaratha' releasing Friday

The 'Rangi Ranga' duo is back with a thrilling chemistry

“Rajaratha,” the romantic-comedy film in Telugu and Kannada features veteran Tollywood superstars Nirup Bhandari and Avantika Shetty in the lead roles as Abhi and Megha respectively.

The film is produced by Vishu Dakappagari, Anju Vallabh, Sathish Sastry and Ajay Reddy. It was filmed under the direction of the famous director Anup Bhandari. He wrote the script and composed the wonderful music for it.

“Rajaratham” is the Telugu title of the film. Other characters in the film are enacted by a debut Tamil actor Arya who is playing an important role as a supporting actor Vishwa. P. Ravishankar as uncle and Sruthi Hariharan will be seen in other supporting roles.

The melodious soundtrack is composed by Anup Bhandari while B Ajaneesh Loknath composed the film score. The majority of shooting is done in and around Mysore.

Nirup and Anup Bhandari made “Rangi Taranga,” which became the highest grossing Kannada movies of his times breaking all the box-office records.
