Social media is abuzz with the news of Mukesh Ambani's elder son Akash getting engaged. The rumours of his wedding have been doing rounds in the news for quite some time now though, the Ambanis have been keeping the news under wraps and have been denying any nuptials all along.

Akash, 27, is Mukesh Ambani's elder son and twin of sister Isha, and older brother of Anant, 22.

Akash proposed to Shloka in Goa. Both are celebrating the occasion with parents, family members, and close friends.

Who is Shloka Mehta?

Shloka Mehta is the youngest daughter of Russell Mehta, who is the head of Rosy Blue India, one of the country's leading diamond companies.

Shloka and Akash went to Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) in the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Later, she went to Princeton University to study Anthropology in the United States. She pursued her Master's degree in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Shloka is a director with Rosy Blue Foundation and co-founder of the ConnectFor NGO that connects volunteers to various social causes (NGO).

Akash, 26 has studied at Brown University in Rhode Island, USA, and is currently part of the Reliance JioInfocomm Limited (RJIL), 4G world, which is one of the most ambitious projects.

The duo has known each other well for a long time now and decided to take their relationship further.

Mehtas is one of the most influential families in the industry and the duo seems quite happy in the photos.
