Mahabharata is the biggest Epic in Indian history and culture. It has often intrigued our filmmakers and producers. Perhaps that is why we can found references to "The Mahabharata" often in our movies and serials whenever it comes to "Good vs. Bad" stuff. It has been quite a while now that speculations are hovering around that soon we will get to see the Bollywood's version of the greatest Epic.

The Mahabharata

Aamir, the Ace Khan, is currently involved in "Thugs of Hindostan." He recently opted out of Captain Rakesh Sharma's biopic. Rumors are that he will be getting involved in his dream project "The Mahabharata." Time and again he has said that Mahabharata is his dream project and he will get on with it whenever the time permits.

According to Aamir said that "My dream project is to make Mahabharata one day, which I have not yet achieved or I haven't moved towards it. It's too scary as a dream, maybe that's why. It's a big dream so let's see if I can do it one day." There has been no official announcement yet, but given the fact that Aamir has spoken about it many times and rumors are spreading we may just hear some official announcements that will bring cheer to the fans.

The Mahabharata is the largest Indian epic based on the story of cousins, the Pandavas and the Kauravas who are at war with each other for the throne of Hastinapur. There are many interesting characters in the epic. Aamir's favorite is that of Karan, but he also says that his physique will not allow him to do the character of Karan.

He also finds the character of Arjuna very interesting as it is the only character which asks Lord Krishna why he has to kill his people.

The movie will be along the lines of "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy and the "Game of Thrones" franchise. It is said to involved technicians and story writers from abroad so that the movie could have an international appeal and will make the project less risky as it is planned to release in other parts of the world.

According to the reports in the Midday, the franchise is likely to feature three to five installments. Multiple directors might be used for the project. Even Aamir himself will also be willing to take the responsibility of the director. It will be interesting to see how and when things turn out. But one thing is for sure that it will be a treat for not only Aamir fans but also Bollywood fans globally.

Ambani 'The Banker'

The richest man of India Mukesh Ambani is all set to produce the magnum opus which is expected to be the most expensive film ever made in India. This is considered as a step by Ambani to foray into the lucrative entertainment industry. He already has stakes in EROS and Balaji Films. He also has stakes in Viacom 18. Ambani is also planning an entertainment platform along the lines of Netflix that will be offered on Jio portal. It is not yet clear that whether Ambani will enter into this mega-budget project all alone or other producers will also be involved.
