The Bengali movie “ghare baire” featuring Jisshu Sengupta, Aparajita Adhya, Biswanath Basu and Koel Mallick in the lead roled was released in theatres across India on March 30, 2018. The movie was much appreciated by the viewers and critics alike who gave an above average rating. It was a good package of entertainment according to the audience. The crackling chemistry between Jisshu and Koel is eye-popping. This movie is about love, passion, friendship, separation, twist, and comedy.

The movie has received good positive reviews from trade analysts as it is a perfect blend of romantic-comedy.

The plot of 'Ghare Baire'

This movie portrays Jisshu Sengupta as Amit, who is lost in his Bohemian dreams of following his passion for music and wants to open his own restaurant in the street of Kolkata.

Being an earnest follower of Rabindra Sangeet, he wants to free himself from the shackles of the corporate world to follow his romantic passion for Bengali music.

He is also shown to become nostalgic at times, remembering the union with his childhood friend, Labonya. However, his romantic feelings for Labonya are interrupted when, the unconventional Labonya, under family pressure, agrees to a traditional arranged marriage in Kolkata to an NRI from the US named Sam. However, the film has also come up with a tragic conclusion.

Mainak Bhaumik

Mainak Bhaumik is no doubt one of the best Bengali filmmakers when it comes to romance and comedy. The movie has a perfect touch of humor which has attracted many people to the theatres.The film has received a very good response at the box office, and the hard work of the crew has finally paid off.

Other Bengali movies that released on Friday

Along with “Ghare Baire," some other bengali movies also released on March 30, 2018. Pratik Biswas’s “The Blackbelt" which features actors Kharaj Mukherjee, Anuradha, Kismat Khan and Dipanwita as the lead characters. Though it is a romantic, action-packed movie, the storyline is not good enough which is the reason for its downward slope at the box-office.

Another Bengali movie “Alifa" released on March 30, 2018, also showed similar signs of decline.

However, director Pritam Saha and Kaushik Kar came up with "Poka: A Vermin" and "Pornomochi" respectively which are a deviation from the regular blend of movies. Both the movies have received quite a good response from the audience because of their different storylines.

The movie “Hoyto Manush Noye" featuring Priyanka Sarkar, Supriyo Dutta, Biswajit Chakraborty and Subhasish Mukherjee and directed by Amey Ranadive is full of thrill and suspense and is sure to excite the audience.

Next, the movie “Kabir” featuring Dev Adhikary and Rukmini Mitra, is set on the similar action plot. We will also get a chance to witness the romantic union between the lead couple.

“Aami Ashbo Phirey" featuring Swastika Mukherjee and Anjan Dutt, is a movie packed with romance and psychological unveilings and is sure to touch the core of the heart.

“Guptodhoner Sondhane" is ready with our very own Byomkyesh to take us on a thrilling ride. The movie features Abir Chatterjee, Esha Saha and Arjun Chakraborty in lead roles and Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Rajatava Dutta and Arindam Sil in major supporting roles.
