The daughter of Gulzar and director of the upcoming film "raazi" Meghna Gulzar took to Twitter to share the beginning of the incredible journey. The story is based on the novel 'Calling Sehmat' written by Harinder S. Sikka which is a true story of a young Kashmiri girl who gave in everything to serve the nation. She married a Pakistani Army officer so as to provide Indian intelligence with valuable information during Indo-Pak war in 1971.

Sehmat is an independent yet vulnerable Kashmiri girl who is an undercover spy and leaves everything behind for the nation.

Meghna Gulzar captioned it as 'the beginning of an incredible journey' and 'decoding Sehmat, the ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances'.

"We are making a film on a spy and it's based in 1971," said Meghna Gulzar, director of "Raazi".

alia bhatt talks about the journey of Sehmat from an innocent, gentle girl to a tough one who fights against all odds. Alia Bhatt was trained in handling weapons, learns to drive a Jonga and what not to get into the skin of her character.

"I actually memorized all the codes and ended up mugging all of them," said Alia Bhatt.
