salman khan has been pronounced guilty in the Black Buck killing case and sentenced to five years in prison on Thursday. Alviera and Arpita, Sulu's sisters who were rock steady in support of their brother, could not control their emotions and broke into tears. Salman also was dewy-eyed after he saw his sisters in tears.

It was an eventful day for Bollywood when the fortunes of not one but five Bollywood actors and actresses were to be decided by the Judge in Jodhpur. While his other four “Hum Sath Sath Hain” co-stars, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, and Neelam were acquitted, Salman Khan was pronounced guilty and sentenced to five years in prison.

The judge even labeled Salman as a habitual offender while pronouncing the verdict. The public prosecutor Bhawani Singh said that they seek the maximum sentence for Salman Khan.

According to a news report by CNN-News 18, the megastar entered the courtroom accompanied by his two sisters on both side and bodyguard Shera. Khan heard his sentence being pronounced with a blank face, but his sisters broke down into tears. He was immediately taken into custody and was designated Inmate No 106 of Jodhpur central jail.

His sisters were not allowed to accompany him to the prison.

If he were given a sentence of fewer than five years, he would have obtained bail immediately.

However, now he will have to wait till Saturday for applying for bail.

Bishnoi Sabha, the organization which was instrumental in pursuing the case and getting the superstar convicted has said that they will be appealing in a higher court against those who have been acquitted and also seek maximum punishment for Salman Khan.

Sallu's recent movie "Tiger Zinda Hai" grossed Rs 300 crores at the box-office in India alone. The shooting for his next movie "race 3" is going on in Dubai currently.
