Biopics have been made in the past and directors have taken liberties, often mixing facts and fiction citing commercial compulsions. The biopic of MS Dhoni or the Phogat sisters who were portrayed in “Dangal” were commercially successful because it had all the elements of entertainment in the right proportions and coupled with a hefty dose of nationalism which struck an emotional chord of an average Indian viewer.

There are plenty of controversies associated with Saurav which included an alleged fling with actress Nagma.

Saurav had eloped with his childhood sweetheart, Dolly Ganguly who is wife now. Saurav’s career had seen many ups and downs, and therefore his biopic will surely endear the Indian audience.
