Sandwich is a tasty snack that can be had as a lunch, brunch or snack. It is one of the easiest and most loved breakfasts by many people. A sandwich is usually two slices of #bread stuffed with veggies, cheese or any other stuff, which may be grilled or not. Many varieties of the sandwich can be made according to individual preferences. The most popular ones are the vegetable sandwich, cheese sandwich, club, Tomato Mumbai Sandwich, Veg Mayo, cottage Cheese, open Sandwich, and the rainbow Sandwich to name a few.

How to make the mayo sandwich

Today, I am presenting to you the Veg Mayo Sandwich. It is a delicious sandwich that can be served as a breakfast or snack.

You can even pack it in the lunch box. I have made the mayo without eggs. You can use mayo #recipes with egg. Vegetables are dipped in prepared mayonnaise, and a layer of prepared dip and other herbs are smeared over the bread slices and then grilled to perfection, doesn't that seem delicious?


  • 8 bread slices
  • 2 tablespoon Mayo
  • 1 tablespoon Green chutney
  • 1 onion cut into thin pieces
  • 1 bowl shredded cabbage
  • ½ bell pepper cut into thin pieces
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon dry herbs
  • 2 teaspoon butter
  • salt to taste


Toaster, plates, knife, bowl, tong, spoon, skillet (optional)

To make the mayo :

  • 1 cup oil
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • ½ teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

To make the green chutney:

  • 1 cup parsley
  • 2 green chilies
  • salt to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic


1 To prepare the Mayo:

Blend oil and milk together until they mix well.

Add the other ingredients and blend again for two minutes. Remove it in a bowl.

2 To prepare the green chutney:

Wash the parsley. Grind all ingredients together. Remove it in a bowl.

3 To make mayo sandwich:

  • Mix butter with salt and little pepper.
  • Mix the chopped veggies in two tablespoon of mayo.
  • Take two slices of bread. Smear some butter, then add green chutney over it. Now, on one slice place the veggies in mayo. Sprinkle the herbs over it. Cover with the other slice.
  • Prepare the same for the other slices.
  • Put them in a toaster. Grill it until the green light is visible.
  • Serve hot.

Take a tip

  • Mayo can be stored in the refrigerator for two days. Keep it covered in a bowl.
  • You can use the skillet to roast the bread slices.
  • Bread used can be brown or white bread.
  • If you are using salted butter, avoid adding extra salt.
