Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son akash ambani proposed to his longtime friend shloka mehta on March 23, 2018, at a function in Goa. Shloka Mehta is the youngest daughter of one of India’s leading diamantaires, Russell Mehta who owns the company Rosy Blue.

In an interview to a newspaper, Nita Ambani confirmed that they are set to marry soon. Akash posted a few photos of the ceremony on his Instagram page. The photos suggest the ceremony took place in a beautiful garden which was only attended by close family members.

How it all started!

Akash and Shloka did their schooling from the prestigious Dhirubhai Ambani International School situated in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.

On graduating he went on to study at the Brown University, one of the worlds most recognized and sort after universities.

On the other hand, Shloka completed her bachelor’s in anthropology from Princeton University. For her master’s she opted to learn Law from the renowned London School of Economics and Political Science. Presently, both of them are involved in their respective family-owned businesses.

The entire family along with Shloka visited the Siddi Vinayaka Temple in Mumbai during the weekend and took the blessings of the Lord.

Akash sits on the board of Reliance Jio and Shloka is the Director of Rosy Blue Foundation. Apart from that, she has co-established an institution named ConnectFor that aims to gather volunteers for different causes the NGOs take up.

The wedding is rumored to take place during the first week of December at the Oberoi Hotel in Mumbai with the guest list ranging from politicians and major business owners to big names in the film and sports industry. The celebrations leading up to this big fat Indian wedding will span across four to five days.
