In an effort to hone skills and boost entrepreneurship in rural karnataka, the state government is hosting "Kaushal Dialogue" on February 4. The mega event, hosted in Hubballi, will be spearheaded by Deshpande Educational Trust, alongside National Skill Development Corporation and the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Livelihood. The organizers have taken into consideration the lack of employment and employability quotient of the Indian youth and have designed the event to be an eye-opener for youth to further their career prospects.

The event aims to empower rural youth and encourage rural innovation.

More than 50 exhibitions and stalls will be installed—each propagating the idea of innovation and entrepreneurship. The event will enable the youth to explore long-term careers in sectors such as automobiles, telecommunications, tourism, transport, aerospace aviation, jewelry making and more.

The objective of the conference is to create and build scalable models and sustainable skill development initiatives for the rural youth in India.

Nearly 350 delegates from various sectors are expected to take part in the event next month. The panel discussions during the one-day conference will shed light on the need for digital literacy, upgradation of skills, and, most importantly, the empowerment of rural youth.
