VHP leader Pravin togadia is hated across the secular spectrum of the Indian population, his words are more corrosive than vitriol, but he cannot be ignored. He is going to release a no holds barred book on the ram mandir in Ayodhya. He is seething and feels cheated about Modi’s inaction and his failure to ensure the construction of a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Explosive contents in the book

The book authored by Togadiya chronicles the events related to one of the most divisive issues for the nation, an issue which had torn its secular fabric asunder in the past.

The book talks about the people who were crucial in creating the saffron blitzkrieg and also talks about those who exploited the issue to gain politically.

The Ram Janm Bhoomi agitation started in the right earnest in 1986 when a district judge decreed that the gates of the mosque be opened and allow Hindus to worship Ram Lalla after remaining closed for five years. Not to be left behind, the Muslims also formed the Babri Mosque Action Committee as they protested the opening of the gates.

Could play spoiler for BJP

The aim of the Ram Janm Bhoomi movement was to build a temple on the spot where the structure stood and was deemed a mosque by the Muslims. The movement received a fillip with the installation of the bjp Kalyan Singh State Government in Uttar Pradesh and on December 6, 1992, the mosque was demolished by kar sevaks who had gathered in thousands.

With elections around the corner, and the BJP once again making the Ram Temple its main plank for another bid for power, the book could throw a spanner into the carefully orchestrated BJP game plan for Elections 2019.

The book is aptly titled "Saffron Reflections: Faces & Masks," and comes down heavily on PM Narendra Modi for failing to enact a law for the construction of the Ram Mandir despite having the numbers in Parliament.
