The ruling BJP is fighting hard to win the Assembly polls in Karnataka. The party said they have a three-pronged agenda for the state: Development, fast-paced development, and all-round development. This strategy of BJP, however, was made fun of by the Congress who said that the party’s agenda only involves roping in people like BS Yeddyurappa, the first chief minister in Karnataka to go to jail, and Reddy brothers, who were involved in the iron ore mining scandal.

On Thursday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. through the NaMO app, addressed party workers, office bearers, and karyakartas in Karnataka.

On Twitter, #KarnatakaTrustsModi has been trending for several hours, with BJP supporters pointing out that the Centre has doled out a lot of benefits for Karnataka.

“More than 9 lakh free LPG connections were given under Ujjwala Yojana,” they said.

Kapil Kaushik, a user on Twitter, pointed out the difference between the Modi-led BJP regime in the country and the Siddaramaiah-led Congress regime in Karnataka.

  • “Modi works 18 hours a day and Siddaramaiah has a ‘magical lemon.’
  • 1750 km highway constructed by the NDA Vs 950 by the UPA;
  • 34 lakh toilets built by the NDA Vs 20 lakh by the UPA;
  • Rs 1600 crore for urban infrastructure by the NDA vs. Rs 380 crore by the UPA.
  • All this in 4 years of Modi sarkar,” he said.
