Student bodies across India staged a protest demanding the resignation of Prakash Javadekar, Minister for Human Resource Development.

The CBSE question paper leaks have caused chaos among the student community who blamed the minister for his lackadaisical attitude.

The Congress in Assam condemned Prime Minister Modi for turning a blind eye to the plight of 28 lakh students, who were affected by the question paper leak.

“Over 2 million students have been affected by the CBSE’s decision to hold fresh examinations in the two subjects. Quite unfortunate.

Mr. Prime Minister you don't have the right to play with the future of innocent students," tweeted the Congress party in Assam where the students held a protest.

All India Mahila Congress, who also took to Twitter, condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for neglecting the plight of the students. The party said: “Leaked papers & destroying education system is becoming a habit for the BJP. We've seen the SSC paper scam and Vyapam deaths. CBSE leak is just another episode in a still unfolding series. Despite students taking to the streets all over India to protest the CBSE paper leak, there has been no response from either Prakash Javdekar or Narendra Modi on the issue affecting over 28 lakh students.

Why the silence?”

The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) has also demanded the resignation of minister Javadekar.
