On Tuesday morning, Salman Khurshid, senior advocate, Supreme Court of India and former Minister for corporate affairs, water resources, minority affairs, law and justice, external affairs, criticized the Congress. He said that party has blood on its hands, as under its watch it allowed riots to take place. Gaurav Bhatia, the national BJP spokesperson, also lambasted the party for playing partition politics. He said that Congress is targeting the judiciary, and, more specifically, in Karnataka, they are pitting Hindus against Hindus. He added that parties like the Congress are not concerned about the welfare of the citizens.Sambit Patra, national spokesperson of the BJP said that the basic construct of Congress was not secularism.

“It was appeasement,” he added.

“We have not even looked towards destroying any part of the Constitution of this country. The Congress party has followed the British rule of 'divide and rule' in this country, he said. “This is 'Indians' India and not Nehru's India,” he added.

Meanwhile, the BJP took a dig at Rahul Gandhi, who called for a 15-minute debate with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Rahul demands 15 minutes from PM. I challenge Rahul Gandhi for a 15-minute debate on the account of last 70 years. Does he have the courage to accept it?” asked civil rights activist, Shehzad.
