Taking to social media, former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa took at dig at Karnataka’s present CM, Siddaramaiah. He said that the Congress in the state has failed its people. “The chief minister has only made promises on paper,” he said, hashtagging a new nickname for Siddaramaiah: #10PercentCM.

He said that "winds of change" are blowing through Karnataka, and it's high time people see through the unkept promises made the Congress. It's time to bring back good governance, he said.

On protecting the environment, the Congress has done a bad job, he suggested.

“The lakes in Bangalore emit toxic froth and fumes, while the chief minister is only worried about his vote bank politics,” Yeddyurappa said.

Ask questions, BSY tells Rahul

He urged Rahul Gandhi, who was in Bangalore on a state tour, to ask Siddaramaiah what measures he had taken to save the city’s lakes.

“The Congress has failed. From governance, infrastructure woes, traffic gridlocks, misuse of power, the Siddaramaiah government has not done anything to address them,” said Yeddyurappa.
