The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is on a six-day visit to India.

On day 4, Modi and Netanyahu embarked on an eight km-long roadshow from the airport to Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad today.

After reaching the ashram, both leaders spent some time at the Sabarmati Riverfront, which was developed by Modi when he was the gujarat Chief Minister.

Netanyahu and his wife Sara wrote a message at the Sabarmati Ashram.

It read: "An inspiring visit to the hearth of one of humanity's great prophets of inspiration - Mahatma Gandhi." Netanyahu described the India-Israel relationship as a “marriage made in heaven.”

The place is well-known as Gandhi ashram because Mahatma Gandhi lived there for over a decade.

The Jewish community in Gujarat comes out to greet Netanyahu

There are around 140 Jews in Gujarat, according to News18. The community had invited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to visit their church, but since that was not possible, they were at the roadshow to greet him.

Earlier in the day, Modi received the Israeli PM and his wife at the Ahmedabad airport. They both inaugurated the iCreate Center at Deo Dholera Village in Ahmedabad at 11:20 AM. They also visited a Startup Exhibition and interacted with innovators and Startup company CEOs.
