After Lalu Prasad Yadav, the chief of RJD was convicted of funds misappropriation case in the fodder scam; there have been bouts of protests from his party and allies. Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu’s son and the chief of opposition in the bihar Assembly, has said that the designated CBI court ruling is not final; and they would appeal to higher courts.

Lalu's son hails him as 'Hero'

According to Tejashwi, Lalu Prasad was called as the “hero” of the masses by the people of his state. He admits to the “common perception” of a political malice and conspiracy carried out by the head of the state Nitesh Kumar and the BJP, in framing his father.

As per his claims, on account of the Bihar elections to be held in December, the BJP ruled NDA has planned to rule out possibilities of any competition resulting from the high popularity of Lalu Yadav, by getting him embroiled in legal issues. But RJD intends to overcome this setback with an even stronger comeback – they would move the Supreme Court if required.

RJD to hit back

He plans to get back at the CM and his deputy, with the request for a CBI investigating on the Rs 1,100 crore Srijan scandal. Tejashwi hopes that a proper investigation about the responsibility of Kumar and Sushil Modi in this bribery case would help RJD give a fitting reply to all those who have conspired against his father.

Tejashwi and other RJD leaders have also submitted a memorandum to Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik in this regard. In view of his ill health, lawyers had requested the court to be lenient and give him a shorter sentence.
