A recent gesture of respect for the Indian flag by Pakistani cricketer Shahid afridi has won several hearts of Indians. While posing on the sidelines of a cricket tournament, Afridi asked a fan to hold the Indian flag in a right way.

What Afridi said to the Indian fan

Afridi, who is remembered for smashing the fastest century in One Day Internationals, asked the fan to hold the flag properly and straight. The fan was holding the flag inappropriately for taking a picture in the stands at the St. Moritz Cricket Tournament.

On Saturday, this Pakistani cricketer participated in the inaugural event along with few other former cricketers including Shoaib Akhtar, Virendra Sehwag and many others from different countries like South Africa and Australia.

Internet abuzz admiring Afridi’s touching gesture

The entire social media is abuzz admiring what this all-rounder did to correct an Indian fan after he held it incorrectly.

People from both sides of the border have come ahead lauding this amazing act. Some Indians, as well as Pakistanis, came together at that venue to see these former cricketers in action. This cricket tournament was launched on the Frozen lake at very low temperatures.

Pakistani cricketers including shahid afridi are highly admired ones in India.

Afridi stated at this event that as cricketers, he thinks in setting examples on personal bonds that can work like an example for relationships between the two nations. After Pakistan, he believes other countries where he got the most honor and appreciation are India and Australia.

While the Indian Premier League does not include any of the Pakistani players, they have their own league in their country, and the players are part of many other leagues other than the IPL.

Pakistan is not playing any international series at the moment while India is playing in South Africa and has an upcoming tour of Australia after the players will all gear up for the upcoming IPL 2018 in April.
