The Indian National Football Team defeated Kenya by 3-0 on June 4, 2018, at the Mumbai Football Arena in Mumbai. The Indian Captain Sunil Chhetri playing his 100th international game scored a superb brace and Lalpekhlua scored the other goal. India is currently leading the points table of the Intercontinental Cup with two wins from as many games.
India started the game positively, but the Kenyan defense kept them quiet until the 68th minute. At this time, India got a penalty and Chhetri scored a goal to give India the lead. Three minutes later, Lalpekhlua scored another goal to make things worse for Kenya.
Sunil Chhetri put the icing on the cake as he scored his second goal of the match, in the injury time to finish off a 3-0 win for his team.

Twitter got flooded with tweets to the Indian side for the victory against Kenya. Starting with Chhetri thanking the fans for turning up in huge numbers and supporting the team. Sports personalities like Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag and Rajyavardan Rathore also tweeted their congratulations to the side.
